Introduction.

Ingredients

Steps

Step 1: Sprinkle sea salt, black pepper and olive oil on both sides of the steak, coat well and marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Brush a little olive oil into a pan, turn up the heat and add the steak, sear both sides for a minute and a half, then turn down the heat to seal the edges.

Step 3: For a more sophisticated meal, melt 1 small piece of butter in the pan, pour the melted butter over the steak and sear until cooked to your preferred doneness, then remove from the pan and place on a cutting board to rest for 5 minutes.

Step 4: While the meat is resting, make a sauce, including minced garlic, chili pepper, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of black pepper, chopped cilantro, and 1 tablespoon of water, and whisk to combine.
